Get down and dirty with your finances! This course will walk you through developing a Holistic Financial Plan (using a free template and free software) that will:

  • Give you a deeper understanding of your income & expenses so you can plan and organize appropriately
  • Help you to find a version of financial management that works for you
  • Enable you to set goals that feel more reachable because they’re informed by real numbers!

Let’s be real - often, business finances and personal finances overlap. For this reason, this tool is designed especially for entrepreneurs. Its adaptable nature, however, allows it to be used by
any individual looking to consciously cultivate their finances. Build a personal plan, a business plan, or both - you’ll leave with a road map that works for your unique situation, reflecting your goals, values, and priorities.

"The Holistic Financial Plan is one of the most clarifying tools I have ever used...

I truly cannot recommend using this template enough, especially if you are someone who is looking for some autonomy within your finances, trying to understand how to budget, save, and meet personal financial goals."

- Evelyn

This course would be a great fit for:

  • Anyone who isn’t meeting their income goals who wants to figure out why, and how to take steps to get to where they want to be.
  • A solopreneur who isn’t yet separating personal and business expenses, who is ready to expand, adapt or change their relationship with their finances.
  • An entrepreneur or non-profit director who wants to find a new way of financial management and widen their view from month-to-month to annual planning.

WHAT THIS TOOL CAN DO FOR YOU

A LITTLE TASTER OF OUR APPROACH

When we say the word ‘lake’ in English, we’re just describing the surface of the water. But when we say the Cherokee word for Lake, adonwhe, we describe its contents all the way to the bottom.

We have regular language, phrases & imagery we use a lot throughout our work, for a reason. Here’s some of the why of the words we pick:

  • Landscape: We use this word because we believe that everyone’s financial situation is cultivable; it evolves and can grow with active management and conscious attention.
  • Active Management: There is no ‘proper’ way to manage money, but there is an ‘active’ way to manage money, which in our minds means having a good hold on your income and expense numbers, so you can make informed decisions that move you in the direction you want to be heading.
  • Holistic Planning: In whatever ways you want to cultivate your financial landscape, we want to make sure to keep the whole in mind - including all of your goals, values & priorities. We have adopted the term ‘Holistic Financial Planning’ (and adapted the spreadsheet template we will share with you) from Holistic Management International, an organization focused on betterment of the planet through land stewardship; intersectional approaches to management inform much of our work at Triple Creeks Consulting.

Here’s a little more, from the course instructor, about the financial language and approach we use:

COACHING & ACCOUNTABILITY

Although the course can be done at your leisure, we also know it’s great to have some accountability to help reach your goals! We also love helping you refine this tool to work best for your specific situation. So… Hoorah! we’re also offering 1:1 coaching sessions to support your efforts in active financial management. Here’s a bit about why they might be helpful:

"It was super helpful to have 1:1 guided support for [the Holistic Financial Planning process] because honestly, spreadsheets and finances are not my strong point and I can find them quite overwhelming ..

[Going through the Holistic Financial Planning process] meant that I could worry less about the months to come because I actually had an idea of the numbers, of what was coming in, what to expect, and how to plan around it ... I'm really looking forward to using this system in my business to understand my income and to plan for the future with the actual numbers there rather than just... trying to guess."

Sera Deva, Course Instructor & Coach

Triple Creeks Consulting

My name is Sera Deva, and I love getting intimate with budgets, spreadsheets, and numbers. I run a consulting company working with systemically excluded business and nonprofit professionals and have found quite a niche in both finance and operations.

Having explored all kinds of different tactics with a huge variety of clients, employers, and mentors; one thing is clear: with conscious cultivation and management, we can transform our financial and professional landscape to being the highest expression of our deepest desires.

I began using this tool when I was just beginning my adult life, in the process of realizing how limited the practical education I received on financial management was. Now, I use it with almost all of my clients, across many sectors and financial realities, and I’ve seen it work, every time. This tool can work for you at whatever stage or whatever feels you may have about money, and with as much or as little money as you may have to actively manage.

"I really appreciate [my Holistic Financial Plan] and how it is allowing me to really focus on what I spend, what I’ve got coming in ...

and figure out just how I’m going to make those expenses and the income match up the way I need them to."
